- Most often it's a worn or misaligned espagnolette (multipoint) mechanism inside the frame rather than the handle itself, especially on uPVC windows that get opened and closed a lot. It can usually be repaired without replacing the whole window.
- Can you repair a window lock, or does the whole handle need replacing?
- Often just a repair. A stiff or loose handle is usually a worn cam or spindle, which can be fixed or swapped without touching the rest of the mechanism. Full replacement is normally only needed if the mechanism itself has failed.
- Do you work on both uPVC and timber windows?
